JAMES MORRISON TO HEADLINE MOUTH OF THE TYNE FESTIVAL
 
Major UK pop star, James Morrison, has been announced as the headline act for this year’s Mouth of the Tyne Festival.

The chart-topping solo artist will perform at Tynemouth Priory on Saturday 10 July 2010 and tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday 26 February 2010.

Tickets cost £20 each plus a booking fee and can be booked by calling 0844 847 2335 or visiting www.ticketmaster.co.uk. Tickets are strictly limited and fans are urged to book early to avoid disappointment.

Commenting on his forthcoming performance, James Morrison, said: "I can't wait to perform again in the North East, especially at a special place like Tynemouth Priory and Castle.
 
"I've heard there's some great beaches nearby and the festival draws big crowds so I'm really looking forward to it."

The Brit-award winner is expected to continue in the footsteps of other high calibre music acts, such as Beverley Knight and The script, who have previously performed sell out gigs at the Saturday evening concert of the festival.

The Mouth of the Tyne Festival is a two-day celebration of world-class street theatre, live music and special one-off performances on both sides of the River Tyne. Further details of the weekend's free programme of acts will be announced soon.
