Middlesbrough lad James Arthur came out on top after performing his winning single ‘Impossible'.


The remake of Shontelle’s hit in 2010, was released last night after James Arthur won the 8th series of the X Factor. It has already shot to the number one spot in the download chart, however the North-East lad has said to be very eager to release his ‘own material as quickly as possible’.

Jahmene Douglas just missed out on winning the contract with Syco Records (Simon Cowells own record label).

Sore looser Christopher Maloney left the competition on Saturday night by running back home to Liverpool, as he was only offered one line in the X Factor Finalist mash up. He apparently had a ‘sore throat’ and couldn’t make it to the X Factor finale on Sunday 9th December. Click here to find out more and check out his tweets below!
