A Local company's hoping new film 'Harrigan' can fire up the North East film industry and make a big splash over the pond too

Cameras have started rolling in Newcastle on a British-financed film written by a former detective, with finance raised by his daughter, and starring Stephen Tompkinson!

Stephen plays  Harrigan, a fair but tough cop in the gritty thriller based on the experiences of a North East detective turned award-winning screen writer Arthur McKenzie.

Arthur’s daughter , Kirsty Bell is the producer of “Harrigan” and has raised $2 million to get the film into production and make her father’s dream come true All $2m  has come from North East investment either from businesses or entrepreneurs including ex Newcastle United star Robbie Elliot!
